- About us

- The Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering consists of conventional mechanical engineering and its applied area of automotive engineering.
- Thanks to the combination of several meaningful engineering areas such as computers, knowledge-information, electrical and biological engineering, mechanical engineering, which basically covers energy and manufacturing processes, fosters new research areas. Furthermore, mechanical engineering evolves to state-of-the-art engineering areas by applying aerospace design technology, micro-electronics, and mechanical systems, which contribute to produce precision machines and bio-mechanical technology.
- The Mechanical Engineering Department conducts experimental and analytical research on fundamental and applied topics in the general fields of design/manufacturing and thermo/fluidic engineering. Applied topics include fields such as MEMS, Nanoscience, Biomedical Engineering, Laser Engineering, Robotics, Applied Computational Engineering, and Environment Engineering.
- The automotive engineering department keeps evolving with the technology of communication, material science and environmental engineering based on mechanical and electrical engineering. Its area is becoming diversified to include next-generation vehicles and green-transportation systems such as electric-vehicles, fuel-cell vehicles and smart cars with conventional vehicle chassis, engines, and transmissions.
- Along with its academic achievements, the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering achieves a 70 percent of employment rate including 20 percent for both public and major companies. In addition, a dual degree program with the University of South Australia and exchange student programs with Osaka Sangyo University are available.
